We had a fantastic time visiting Tenterden Primary Federation at their Walking Bus launch.
We were particularly excited to hear about their ‘create a logo’ competition. The winning logos by Oliver in Year 2 and Elias in Year 5 will appear on the ‘bus stops’ and runner up logos will be made into badges for the walking children to wear. Well done to them!
We discussed the benefits of walking to school and the children loved that the bus made them feel part of the community, gave them time to talk to their friends and make new ones, the fresh air is good for them and not using cars is good for the environment too. Clever kids!
