Events<\/strong><\/h1>\n

As an independent charity, we understand only too well the challenges of securing enough funding to survive. And we want to help our schools and their wider communities to have the resources they need to help children and their families\u2019 well being and future prospects. So we decided right from the start to adopt a \u2018collaborative fundraising\u2019 approach. This means we take on all the costs associated with organising fundraising events \u2013 staffing, resources, promotion, stewarding, and so on – and we share the funds generated. Each participant names their chosen charity or volunteer group, from a local PTA to a major national cause, which then receives 70 per cent of sponsorship raised by that individual.<\/p>\n

Participants setting up an online sponsorship \/ donation page are required to use the KM Charity Team page on JustGiving. All instructions on how to create your linked JustGiving page are sent out post-booking. Your online page should be set up for the KM Charity Team who administer the charity funds raised.<\/p>\n

KM Big East Kent Bike Ride<\/h1>\n

The\u00a0KM Charity Team\u2019s Big East Kent Bike Ride<\/strong>\u00a0is back on Sunday 2nd April 2023<\/strong> at Betteshanger Park near Deal!<\/p>\n

Enjoy the buzz of an adrenaline challenge that boasts views of the beautiful East Kent Countryside and coastline, with a choice of either a 100 KM or 50 KM ride.<\/p>\n

The 100KM route is ideal for sportive riders \u2013 it\u2019s a fantastic way to test your fitness levels, meet fellow enthusiasts, and compare your chip time to last year\u2019s!<\/p>\n

The 50KM route is an ideal challenge for leisure riders and charity fundraisers with a reasonable level of fitness.<\/p>\n

Both rides are an excellent warm up for a summer of cycling!<\/p>\n

You can ride just for fun, or raise funds for your favourite charity with a 70\/30 split.<\/p>\n

Please note due to insurance purposes this ride is not open to anyone under the age of 12. Riders aged 12-17 must have a parental consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian, and must be accompanied by a responsible adult.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0indemnity<\/a><\/span>\u00a0details the measures we have taken to keep participants, staff and volunteers safe, and the part you will play in this.<\/p>\n

Please note there are strict limits on rider numbers so book your place early to avoid disappointment!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n

All riders must\u00a0BOOK AS INDIVIDUALS\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 it is\u00a0ESSENTIAL\u00a0<\/strong>that we have full details of every rider, even if you are riding as a team.<\/p>\n
